Bumper Stickers MZX 2.0
So, there we go! Bumper Stickers MZX 2.0 is now a thing. What does this mean for you?
- 99% touch-compatible (you still gotta press P to enter the game proper, because MegaZeux)
- New (old) music track, and new sound effects available from the short-lived mobile version
- Improved UI elements, such as smoother mouse cursor, larger diginum displays, and revamped Paint Can dialog
- Increased frequency of Paint Cans (1000+500 points, down from 1000+1000)
- Changed when new levels happen (100/250/400, was 100/225/506)
- Rebalanced scoring, especially in regards to chains/combos and All Clear
- Weighted Next system, so Bumpers should usually generate at about the same tick
- Credit where credit is due (check the “Learn” screen)

This is the biggest step forward for Bumper Stickers in several years; a lot of mechanical changes are happening, and this will be a good ground to get an idea of how well it works out by time I start working on a Unity port or somesuch. This is also meant as an appreciation to MegaZeux itself, which is about ready to hit its 25th anniversary. It and ZZT were highly influential in my formative game dev years, and I might not have the same interest in this sort of stuff without them.
